Salt Lamp Sunday Week 3 & 4

I’m a little late with my Salt Lamp Sunday posts but here’s Himalayan Salt Lamps Benefits Week 3-4! Has warming salt helped me any more this new week? Well you’ll have to continue reading to find out 😉

Week 3-4 from 24 February – 3 March 2018

I have FINALLY gotten a dimmer for my warmer and that has been the biggest blessing. I am now able to keep the lamp on during the night at a very soft glow. During the day I have it on at full blast and brightness.

I made a short little video for Facebook and Instagram of me going crazy with the dimmer that you can look at.

I do find I sleep better with the lamp on. If I wake up, I don’t feel I’m up for a decade before I can finally fall asleep again.

I contacted Saltpur for an expert opinion regarding what they thought about warming Himalayan Salt in an electrical warmer. I also asked them whether they thought it could have a positive effect or if the amount of salt (approximately a tablespoon) is too little to have any effect on the air and/or body?

Here are highlights of their response:

Light passing from salt through negative ions in the air is effective on your body. I’m not pretty much sure to just warm up with salt pieces can make a difference. It may give you good response if just warm up in the bowl…
Salt needs heat to work so I think it will give benefits still but I would also recommend to get salt lamps at a later stage. Combination between salt and light make huge impact on body and the cleansing process is much faster…

This may be the last post I have regarding warming Himalayan Salt UNTIL I can purchase a Himalayan Salt LAMP. I am still going to keep using my warmer and warming salt but I am keen to compare the two and see how an actual lamp may effect me.

That’s it for Himalayan Salt Lamps Benefits Week 3-4! See you soon.

  1. I absolutely love the lamp in your picture! Do you have it? Would live to have one similar! Love the light and energy, but at night when we sleep, it is too much. Never thought about a dimmer…and think it would work excellent! Thanks for sharing. Love your blog x

  2. I love the fact that you found a way to get a ‘home-made’ salt lamp to get similar benefits to that of a bought salt lamp – ingenious! Please let us know how you fare in comparison when you get your salt lamp.
